This was his first Highest Five victory, a new tier ACR only launched this series. And it came with the hardware to prove it. Winners of Highest Five events receive the custom-designed Golden Bong trophy, ACR's signature prize for the series' elite bracket.
Who Is Chris Moneymaker?
If you follow poker at any level, you already know the name. But it's worth putting his current form into context.
In 2003, Moneymaker, a recreational player who had never played a live major, won the World Series of Poker Main Event for $2.5 million after qualifying through an $86 online satellite. It became one of the most famous stories in sports and triggered a global explosion in poker participation.
That was over two decades ago. What's remarkable is that he hasn't coasted on that legacy. He keeps playing and he keeps winning.
